OCICBW Party, 5 June 2009

The first phase of a journey

It was a long, wet, stressful drive from home to Newark today. At times the rain was so hard that I had trouble hearing the radio. Lots of traffic including some really slow drivers who held everybody up. Then it took 45 minutes to find the hotel because the directions were wrong. But the party this evening with a portion of the OCICBW clan made it all worth it. I'm not doing photos but others will eventually. Check Telling Secrets. I'm too tired to care at the moment but those people sure are fun to be with.

Don't know about blogging for the next two weeks. I'm off to Mondsee, Austria tomorrow for a week of singing with the Berkshire Choral Festival then a few days in Vienna and Budapest.

Another gathering of the OCICBW clan?

Check out Allie's photo page and, hopefully eventually, OCICBINY. It is pretty short notice but why not? I'll be flying out of Newark the afternoon of Saturday, September 13. Perhaps we can just gather somewhere in the neighborhood for supper or lunch? I can get to NJ any time after 3 or so on Friday - it's a 7 1/2 hour drive if all goes well and Fridays are a bit iffy.

OCICBW missing

"OCICBW... got attacked by a particularly vicious troll last night. It was so bad I had to close down the comments overnight.

He seems to have got his revenge by reporting me as a spam blog to Blogger and they have blocked my blog. I have asked for reinstatement but it's taking up to a week to sort out at the moment.

Would you please notify people of this on your blog and tell them to put it on their blogs. I don't want them thinking I've done a runner or been disappeared by the Church Police.
