The snow I drove home in on Friday night between Conneaut Lake and Hartstown was still on the ground Sunday morning.

There was a bit of a traffic tieup on I-279 this morning. This was taken from the Giant Eagle parking lot. This line of headlights went all the way in town. The photo is embiggenable.

Meanwhile Tim was sunning herself. It was a beautiful day in the kingdom.

The Passion of Joan of Arc

This is a sampler of the "concerts" the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh is doing this afternoon and on the 21st as part of the Three Rivers Film Festival at the Regent Square Theater. Coordinating the orchestra at the front of the small hall with half the choir at the back with the film will be interesting. My half of the choir sings the 2nd concert. The film was made in 1928 or so. Richard Einhorn wrote Voices of Light to accompany the film.

Group Announces Unity Event for Pittsburgh Episcopal Diocese

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — September 3, 2008 — A coalition of Episcopal clergy and laypeople today invited everyone in the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh to an event promoting diocesan unity. “A Hopeful Future for the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh: An Alternative Solution” will present the case for rejecting proposals that, purportedly, would remove the diocese from The Episcopal Church. Speakers will explain how continuity of the diocese as a judicatory of The Episcopal Church will be maintained irrespective of the outcome of the vote on “realignment” at the October 4 diocesan convention.

“A Hopeful Future” will be presented at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1066 Washington Rd., Mt. Lebanon, Pa., from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, September 13, 2008. The program will be of special interest to vestry members, convention deputies, and Episcopal Church supporters feeling isolated in pro-realignment parishes. (Ed. there is nothing I found on the church's website about this meeting except the date but you can find directions to the church.)

IMNSHO the people who should be especially interested are the ones who have swallowed Bishop Duncan's, um, er, opinions without being willing to seek out the facts of TEC.
