BCF 2013 Week 1 Sheffield

I didn't take many photos this week. Actually I didn't take any until the party after the concert. I didn't even carry my camera. Sorry to all those who expect to see them.

Are you travelling further north?

MP: I'm in Massachusetts. If I were in England, I'd have let you know long in advance.

You mention Berkshire and then Sheffield. You Americans should have changed all your place names after the War of Independence (like India did when they kicked us out).

Looks like you are having a wonderful time. Sing on! Note to MadPriest: we wouldn't want to give up a single English placename just because of a war. What's not to like about Upper Marboro, Prince George's County, Queen Anne County, Anne Arundel County? Sometimes we Americans try to give our "estates" English-sounding names, but we never get it quite right. You have to be born in England to come up with names such as Bury St. Edmund's. And what about that church in London where John Quincy Adams was married: All Souls Barking. And that estate name in The Forsyth Saga: Monking. As I say, you have to be born there.
