BCF 2011

In case you're wondering, I haven't been taking photos this year. I don't know why. I always have my camera with me. I just don't use it. Maybe today at the Rockwell Museum tho it will be pretty hot outside. There are some interesting robot-looking things on the lawn. But maybe I'm just too comfortable?

Sometimes I think the camera can get in the way of enjoying what you're seeing. I recall pictures of my ex-husband diligently recording every moment of a family trip or other event, and wonder if he was a participant in our lives - or an observer!

I like to have photos of things my kids and grandkids do, and places we go, but sometimes I like to put the camera away and just live in the moment, too!

We almost always forget the bring the camera along. We've missed some wonderful photos. Once, we drove past an Amish farm in rural Ohio. We saw three frisky horses against a bright blue sky at the top of a hill. Even if we'd had the camera, we're fumblers and bumblers. It's probably just as well that all we have is the memory.

I have taken just enough to probably cobble together one post. I am certainly enjoying this week for many reasons.

ah, watch out! Being too comfortable is a very dangerous thing! :-) Seems like when I get too comfortable, I always get thumped out of the nest.

Often happens to me too, Barbi, but this week I'm most grateful for the week so far especially after our week together last year.

It may have happened, Barbi, but I won't explain here.

False alarm. Whew! Concert will be exciting. Maybe not perfect but definitely exciting.
